Dance Upon Injustice

A look at life in the midst of megacity Mumbai, home to more than 20 million people.
Red Light Area
“I used to believe in God.”  Kavitha spoke to me as she was thinking intensely trying to remember back to her earlier life. “Then I had to leave my family in Nepal and come here, I got put in jail for a few weeks, then came back here. I didn’t know where else to go.” A look of despair came over her face as she continued to tell us her life story.
Kavitha is a young Nepali woman working as a prostitute in the red light area in Mumbai. That day I was able share my story with her, and she recommitted her life to God. She wants to leave the red light area, and now is in the process of learning how to sew and work as a tailor.
Street Kids
The boys slid into the seats at the small café, eager to eat some lunch. They devoured the food as quickly as it was placed in front of them. Their tattered clothes and roughed up appearance showed how hard their life was. Not knowing where the next meal would come from, or where they would sleep that night. This is the life of a street kid in Mumbai.
We helped with the long term ministry of feeding and bathing and loving on these kids. Once a week soap is provided and they go to the river to bathe and then have lunch together. We had the opportunity to share the gospel with them and 11 of them made a decision to live for Christ. The life they lead is a hard one, but God was moving as we spent time loving on them and just being their friends.
praise & thank you
We saw 65 people commit their lives to God!!! Many more were prayed for, healed, recommited to follow Christ and were simply encouraged and loved on. Thank you for investing your finances, your time, and your prayers. You are the reason I am able to do what I do. God is changing the lives of many people through you. Thank you for giving. Be blessed. Much love.
